Joslyn Jermaine "Jah" Thompson of Rockford, departed this life January 13, 2024 He was born July  9, 1978 I Rockford the son of Brian and Dianne Thompson. Joslyn was a self-employed Chef; catering for many. He attended East High School later to receive his G.E.D.

Joslyn leaves to cherish many loving memoires, his daughter Indigo Thompson, four sons, Jayden Lambert, Joslyn Jermell Thompson, Jathiya Thompson, and J'quan Thompson; his parents, Brian and Dianne; brother, Brandon (Pam) Thompson; sister, Kris (TJ) Harris; nephew, Malachi Thompson and two nieces, McKenzie Harris and Savanah Thompson; maternal grandfather, Al Fort;  aunts; uncles; numerous cousins other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his nephews Kristopher Huggins; maternal grandmother, Alice Fort; paternal grandparents, Joselyn and Mavis Thompson.

Memorial services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 19, 2024 at Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home Inc. 200 N. Johnston Ave. Doors will be open from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
