Joyce Marie Pryor of Rockford departed this earthly life November 22, 2021. She was born January 1, 1955 in Jackson, MS the daughter of Thomas and Beulah Morris.  Joyce lived in Rockford since 1978 coming from Mississippi. She married John Pryor, March 26, 1994 in Rockford. Joyce was employed as a Case Worker by Children Home and Aid Society and Catholic Charities a total of nine years and previously employed by Woodward Governor. Joyce was a member of Banner of Truth Family Church. She graduated from Lanier High School in Jackson, MS later to receive her Bachelors degree from Jackson State University.

Joyce leaves to cherish many loving memories, her devoted husband, John; son, Johnny Devereueawax III; daughter Marie Coates; six grandchildren; brother, Thomas Morris Jr; two sisters, Dorothy (Robert) Hilton and Yvonne Muldrow; bonus children, John Pryor III., Corey Norfleet and Andre Price; god daughter Ronda Bacon; a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents.

Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 3, 2021 at Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home Inc. 200 N. Johnston Ave. Entombment at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
