Juanita (Nita) Johnson of Chicago/Rockford, IL passed on Friday March 27th, 2026 in Chicago. Born to Susie Johnson on June 10th 1963.

She accepted Christ at an early age and attended Schools in Chicago.

She often traveled from Chicago to Rockford to be with her son and family since 1992. Nita was one who loved her family and friends and always had time to sit, talk and catch up on stories that may have been missed.

Juanita leaves to cherish many loving memories with her son Derrick (Cindy) Johnson, 3 beautiful grandchildren, Derrick Jr., Quincy and Nielah her (NahNah); 5-sisters, Priscilla Cross, Queenester (Michael) Brown, Linda Myles, Bettey (Charles) Evans and Barbara Johnson (Arthur) Walker who held her hand till the end, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family members and friends.

She was predeceased by her mother, brother Danny, maternal and paternal grandparents.
