Justin Lamar “Boog” Brown of Rockford, departed this earthly life September 28, 2026. He was born April 8, 1989 in Rockford the son of Kimberly Brown and Everett Peterson. Justin was employed as a machine operator by Columbia Pipe Fitting. He was baptized at Providence Baptist Church.

Justin leaves to cherish many loving memories, four sons, Jaiere, Jamari and Jordan Brown and John Harvey; three daughters, Miraj Harvey, Justice and Lyric Brown; mother Kimberly Brown and father, Everett Peterson; brother, Corey (Alicia) Barfield two sisters, Chelsea (Malina) Smith and Christel Brown; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends including special cousins who he loved like sisters, Brianna Brown, Nicole Brown, and Chasity Newton; and special cousin who he loved like a brother, David Coleman. He was predeceased by his brother, Mark Brown, maternal and paternal grandparents; two aunts, Tracey Brown and Debra Brown.

Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 17, 2026 at Soar Assembly 604 Salter Ave. Visitation will be held 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
