Kayden Moore

Kayden Mekhi Moore, of Rockford departed this earthly life.

He was born May 16, 2007 in Rockford the son of Karissa Curry and Michael Moore. Kayden was employed as a packer by PCI; previously being employed by Amazon, Culvers and Dunkin Doughnuts. He was also a professional power lifter at Warehouse Barbell in Huntley, IL. He was a member of St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church.

Kayden graduated from East High School class 2025 and attended Rock Valley College.

Kayden leaves to cherish many loving memories, his mother, Karissa Curry and father Michael Moore; two sisters, Amaya Challenger and MyOnna Moore; three brothers Michael Moore Jr., Jhymir Moore and Zayden Moore; maternal grandparents, Shannon Young and James Curry; paternal grandmother, Roberta Moore; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins other relatives and friends including special cousins, Donnell Jackson and Kindyl Jackson, Jaymar Moore, Jakari Moore, Cyarah Curry and Alianna Banks.

He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Anthony Young, paternal grandfather, John Moore, uncle, Mykel Curry.

Services will be held 3:00 p.m. Friday, July 31, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. at Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home Inc. 200 N. Johnston Ave. Visitation 1:00 p.m. until the time of service.
