Kelley Lamont Hudson of Phoenix, Arizona departed this earthly life August 29, 2022. He was born March 6, 1967 in Rockford, IL  the son of Chester and Betty Hudson. Kelley lived in Arizona over 20 years after leaving Rockford. He was employed as a carrier by the United States Postal Service, several years and while in Rockford he was employed by UPS over 15 years. Kelley grew up in Allen Chapel A.M.E. Church. He graduated from Rockford East High School class of 1985 and attended Lincoln University in Jefferson City, Missouri and Central Missouri State.

Kelley leaves to cherish many loving memories, daughter, Amber (Jordan) Hallberg; grand daughter, Amiya Wyrick; brother, Marcus (Melanie) Hudson-Williams; two aunts, Joyce Brown and Gwendolyn (Leo) Lazard; uncle, Curtis Holliman; special cousins, Shawna (Jon) Kennedy and Derrick (Jamica) Brown; a host of other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents; maternal grandmother, Marbline Box, who raised him; maternal grandfather, Nathaniel "Jake" Box; paternal grandmother, Vernell Coleman and paternal grandfather Louis (Bernice) Evans and aunt, Cheryl M. Box.

Services will be held, Saturday, September 10, 2022,  10:00 a.m.  at Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home Inc. 200 N. Johnston Ave. Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held 8:00 a.m. until the time of service.
