Khanika Monique "Nika" Huntley of Rockford departed this earthly life June 9, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born April 18, 1981 in Rockford the daughter of Edrel and Rosie Richmond. Khanika was self-employed as a child care provider at Tiny Toes Day Care, 17 years. She graduated from Auburn High School class of 1999, later to attend  Rock Valley College and Harrington College of Design.

Khanika leaves to cherish many loving memories, her two daughters, Triniti and Keziah; son, Kingston; parents, Rosie Richmond and Edrel Richmond; three sisters, Tonya Richmond, Teona Rivera and Karissa Richmond; four brothers, Regi Puckett, Darrin Richmond, Torrance Richmond, and Roman Richmond;  a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles other relatives and friends. Special thanks to Brittany Puckett and Transitions Hospice. She was preceded in death by her sister, Deshawn Richmond and her grandparents.

Service will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, June 22, 2024 at Forest City Church 1280 S. Alpine Road. Doors will be open from 12:00noon until the time of service. Arrangements completed by Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home Inc. 200 N. Johnston Ave.
