Kumari Sharita Harris, of Rockford departed this earthly life October 17, 2026. She was born October 20, 1990 in Rockford the daughter of Carolyn French and Eric Harris. Kumari was employed in Child Care by the YMCA several years. She was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church where she was baptized as a child and attended City First. Kumari graduated from Jefferson High School, class of 2009.

Kumari leaves to cherish many loving memories, her mother, Carolyn (Maurice) Chandler; daughter, Zoeyanna Garcia; two sons, Karter Garcia and Chief Alimi; five sisters, Rickiea, Pereese, Marquita, Sierra, and Zaria; three brothers, Johnny, Eric Jr., and DeVonte; paternal grandmothers Fontella Harris and Regina Rodgers; a host of nieces, nephews cousins, other relatives and friends including her godsisters, Logan, Dieshanique, and Nadia; godbrothers, Marcus, and Timmy III. She was predeceased by her maternal grandparents, Edward French and Lucille (Vernell) Harris.

Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 31, 2026 at Macedonia Baptist Church 1720 Morgan St. Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
