Lakesha Marie "Kesha" Thompson, of Rockford departed this earthly life May 24, 2023. She was born September 24, 1975 in Rockford, IL the daughter of Lucille Fluker and Henry Fields. Lakesha  lived in Sterling Heights, Michigan three years moving there from Rockford, IL. She was employed as an assembler by Chrysler Corporation FCA six years and self-employed by Londynn Accessories and 3D Travel.  Lakesha was a member of Triumph  Church.  She graduated from Guilford High School and attended Rock Valley College.

Lakesha leaves to cherish many loving memories, two daughters, Ondrea Fluker and Darlesha Jones; three sons, Paul Thompson Jr., Shahiem Thompson and Shamari Thompson; seven grandchildren, Erieon, Londynn, Detrayvian Jr., Detravius, Deterrion, Maliyah, and Anyias; sister Natasha Johnson; god son, Antwan Tate Jr. She was predeceased by her parents, Henry Fields and Lucille Johnson; and aunt, Phyllis Hood and special friend Kimberly Maxey.

Service will be held 12:00 p.m. Thursday June 8, 2023 at Providence Baptist Church 2209 Clifton Avenue. Burial in Cedar Bluff Cemetery. Visitation from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Arrangements completed by Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home Inc. 200 N. Johnston Ave.
