LaRena Patrice "Pat" Thomas, of Machesney Park, IL departed this earthly life Monday, October 14, 2024. She was born April 6, 1961 in Little Rock, Arkansas the daughter of Eugene Sr. and Beverly Ann Houston. LaRena lived in Rockford since 2010 coming from  Danville, IL. She was married to Tilton Liggins. LaRena was employed by Big Lots in Machesney Park and by Schnucks on Harlem Road, before becoming ill. She was a member of New Zion Missionary Baptist Church.

LaRena attended school in Springfield, Missouri.

LaRena leaves to cherish many loving memories, her son, Tyrone Thomas; two grandsons Trenton Nicholson and Traidyn Thomas;  her father Eugene Houston Sr; sister, ReGenea Jackson and brother Eugene Jr. (Kisha) Houston; special cousins who she loved like a sister and brother, Dawn Golden and Keith Houston; a host of nieces, and nephews, cousins other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her mother, Beverly Houston and former husband and partner, Tilton Liggins.
