Larry Darnell Standfield Sr; of Rockford departed this earthly life June 16, 2023. He was born January 10, 1960 in Rockford the son of Willie  and Audrey Standfield. Larry married Sheila Anderson August 25, 2012.  He was employed  a caregiver by Health Care Plus, before becoming ill. Larry was veteran of the U.S. Marines. He was a former member of New Zion Baptist Church. Larry attended Rockford Public School, later to receive his G.E.D and attended Rock Valley College.

Larry leaves to cherish many loving memories, his wife, Sheila; three sons, Larry (Catherine) Standfield Jr., James Dalton and David Parham; daughter, Olympia Standfield; seven grandchildren; mother, Audrey Palmer; two brothers, Paul (Marisol)  and Jermaine ( Janise ) Standfield; sister, Kim (Phil ) Perkins; special cousin/brother, Kevin Stanfield (Dorothy); best friends, ernie Phillips, Quincy Wright and Doug Posley; ; goddaughter, Ma'layiah Chaires; a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his father, Willie Standfield; cousin, Vanessa, Uncle, JD and aunt, Ethel; maternal grandmother Pauline. Special thanks to OSF Hospice and all the caregivers past and present who helped honor Larry's wishes of dying at home.

The family will have a private celebration of life.
