LaTanza V. "Tanza" Knight-White, of Rockford departed this earthly life, September 20, 2023. She was born October 9, 1981 in Chicago, IL the daughter of Lillie Rogers and Eric Ellis. LaTanza lived in Rockford 32 years coming from Chicago. She married Bridgett White, September 25, 2022.  LaTanza was employed as a Case Manager by Service Inc and previously a Direct Care Provider over 20 year by Milestone Inc. She was a member of City First and a former member of Faith Walkers Assembly where she served in the Praise Team. LaTanza was a member of Blac Butterflies and UAO. She graduated from East High School class of 1999 and received her Bachelors Degree from Judson University.

LaTanza leaves to cherish many loving memories, her wife, Bridgett; son, Judah Knight; mother, Lillie Knight; three sisters, LaKeia Knight, LaShondra Knight and LeAndra Knight; mother in law, Carolyn Richardson; sisters in law, Naisha Robinson and Eliberal Chisholm; god brothers, Dustin Whyte and Dominique Marshall; a host of other relatives and friends; including special paw baby, Rex. She was predeceased by her father.

Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 29, 2023 at Soar Assembly 604 Salter Ave. Burial in Willwood Burial Park. Visitation will be held from 8:00 a.m. until the time of service. Arrangements completed by Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home Inc.
