Lenwood "Buster" McKinney of Rockford departed this earthly life October 27, 2024. He was born October 2, 1937 in Rosston, Arkansas the son Aaron and Arrie McKinney. Lenwood lived in Rockford 60 years coming from Kansas City. He married Christine Hubbard, she preceded him in death. Lenwood was employed by Sems/ Camcar Textron many years before retiring. He was a member of Providence Baptist Church, formerly serving on the Usher Board. He graduated from Schools in Arkansas.

Lenwood leaves to cherish many loving memories, daughter, Lynn Allen; 11 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; two brothers, Lawrence McKinney and Charles McKinney; a host of other relatives and friends including special niece, Mary Box. He was predeceased by his parents, Aaron and Arrie; six sisters, Glayds McKinney, Alice Penn, Bobbie Wilson-Williams, Letha McRae, Joann Francis and Mary Lou Box; and brothers, Earnest McKinney and Clarence McKinney.

Memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 9, 2024 at Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home Inc. 200 N. Johnston Ave.  Doors will be open from  10:00a.m. until the time of service.
