Linda Ann "Tuba" Brown, of Rockford departed this earthly life December 20, 2022. She was born March 6, 1952 in Rockford the daughter of Clarence P. and Annie Brown. Linda lived most of her life in Rockford living 22 years in Elgin, IL before coming back to Rockford in 2000. Linda was employed as a supervisor by Chicago Bank One. She was also a teacher at Geneses Day Care and the executive director of Whiz Kids. Linda was a member of New Zion Missionary Baptist Church serving in the youth department, Celestial Choir and Sunday School teacher. She graduated from West High School class of 1970 and graduated from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale with a Bachelors of Science in Education.

Linda leaves to cherish many loving memories; sister, LaVonne Williams; five brothers, John Tomlinson, Deion Suggs, Clydale Hilson, Lajuan Hilson and Fabian Carrington; one niece, LaToya Malone and nephew, Torry Williams; a host of great nieces and nephews other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents.

Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 29, 2022 at New Zion Missionary Baptist Church 4726 Jasper St. Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
