Lucille Matilda "Lucy" Johnson of Rockford departed this earthly life July 26, 2022. She was born February 15, 1958 in Rockford, IL the daughter of Lois Fluker and Willie Austin. Lucille lived most of her life in Rockford, recently relocating to Michigan. She married Edgar Johnson, he preceded her in death. Lucille attended West High School, later to receive her G.E.D.

Lucille leaves to cherish many loving memories, two daughters, Lakesha Thompson and Natasha Johnson; grandchildren; Paul (Tanisha) Thompson Jr., Ondrea Fluker, Darlesha, Shahiem, and Shamari Thompson and five great grandchildren; four sisters, Lazette Harris, Annette Hardnett, and Vianne Evans and Joann (Quincy) Thompson; four brothers, Steven Harris, William (Vanessa) Harris, Anthony Austin and Harvey (Joann) Fluker; special niece Sheila Lambert and god daughters, Jamika Franklin Latasha Malone Tonya Price; a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents; brothers, Rev. Cornell Thompson and Leroy Fluker; and aunt, Phyliss Hood.

Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, August 4, 2022 at Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home Inc. 200 N. Johnston Ave. Visitation will be held 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
