Madeline C. Crayton-Lewis of Rockford departed this earthly life August 12, 2025. She was born April 27, 1959 in Rockford the daughter of Matthew Clark Jr. and Beatrice Allen, being adopted by Adell and Almatha Crayton. Madeline was self employed as a day care provided. She was a veteran of the US Army. She graduated from Jefferson High School class of 1977.

Madeline leaves to cherish many loving memories, her four daughters, Takisha Evans, Courtney Meeks, Ciera Meeks and Kayla (Kaven) McBride; son, Jamal Meeks; seven grandchildren; father, Adell Crayton; brothers, Peter Allen and Marvin C. Crayton, Mario, Ricky, Leo (Felicia), James, Derrick, Michael, and Lonnie; sisters, Beatrice, Cicaley, Jereka (Jason), Lolita and Angela; a host of nieces, nephews cousins other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her mothers, Beatrice and Almatha; and father Matthew Clark Jr.; sisters, Jessica and Nelda, and brothers, Edward, Timothy, and Matthew and the love of her life of 42 years, Cedric Meeks.

Memorial services will be held 2:00p.m. Saturday September 6, 2025 at Ken Rock Community Center 625 Adams Street Family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service.
