Marico Arwan "Riri" Satterwhite of Rockford departed this earthly life April 11, 2022. She was July 1, 1990 in Rockford to Veronica Jordan and Archie Lee Satterwhite. Marico lived most of her life in Rockford, living a short while in Atlanta. She was employed as a cook at several restaurants before becoming ill. She was a author, writing two book and several poems. Marico was a member of St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church. She attended Auburn High School, later to receive her G.E.D.

Marico leaves to cherish many loving memories, mother, Veronica (James Brown) Gray; father, Archie Lee Satterwhite; sister, Miracle Brown; brothers, Anthony Satterwhite, Pierre (Yvonne) Black, Step sisters, Treva (Eldra) Jennings, and Shiquitta (James) Harkins; stepbrothers, Caranduos Brown and Anthony (Sandra) Walker; step sister, Shawn a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by step brother, Terry Buford; and special cousin Philicia Butler.

Services will be held 11:00a.m Thursday, April 21, 2022 at Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home Inc. 200 N. Johnston Ave. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
