Martavies Jarvel Blake, of Rockford departed this earthly life April 7, 2018. He as born December 27, 1996 in Rockford the son of Teva Moore and Dedric J. Blake. He attended Auburn High School.
Martavies leaves to cherish many memoires, his parents, brothers, Deontia Blake, De'vion Blake, Deairon Blake, Jeffron Mason Jr. and Kaiden Mason; maternal grandmother, Mary Brown and paternal grandmother Katie Blake; aunts, Jawewa Welcome and Melissa Blake; uncles, Andre (Linda) Fair, Larry Blake Jr. and Marquitis (Renee) Brown ; special cousins, Dreaylan, Treaylan, Jazanique, Chiyanti, Jazea, Marquitis Jr., and Harmoni a host of other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his paternal grand grandfather, Larry Blake.
Services will be held 11: 00 a.m. Saturday April 28, 2018 at United Faith Missionary Baptist Church 250 N. Pierpont. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Arrangements completed by Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home 2429 W. State Street.
