Mary Frances Martin Allen, of Rockford, IL departed this earthly life December 6, 2021. She was born February 1, 1939 in Jackson, Tennessee the daughter of Jewel Mae Flakes and Smiley Vann. Mary lived in Rockford since the sixties coming from Loda, IL. She married Charles Martin, to this union there was a blessing of three children, he preceded her in death. Mary later married  Ezra Allen, Jr., February 18, 1996. Mary was employed as a manager by Insurance Liquidators many years, M & M Markets and Monticello Liquors. She was a member of State Street Church of Christ being baptized in 2005. Mary attended schools in Tennessee.

Mary leaves to cherish many loving memories, her husband, Ezra Jr.; son, Maurice (Danyale) Martin; two daughters, Brenda Martin and Elaine (Willie) Martin-Rushing; 10 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; three step children, Tremel Dunkin, Kimberly Allen and Ezra Allen III; and 8 step grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends including god daughter, Chasity Williams; special friends, Charlett Kyles, Ruth Williams and Shonda Thompson. She was predeceased by her parents, three brothers, Bill Paige, Lee Cole and Hosie Lee Vann; and one sister Lela Hankilin  and grandson, Larry Deshawn Martin.

Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home Inc. 200 N. Johnston Ave. Burial  in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
