Maurice Wilkes of Rockford, departed this earthly life Tuesday, November 9, 2021 in River Crossing of Rockford Nursing Home, clean and sober, suffering from diabetes. While in the nursing home he found the Lord and made peace with God. He was born October 21, 1964 the son of Robert and Christine Wilkes. He was employed by Fisher Inc. in Elgin, IL. Attended Mt. Goshen full gospel church. Maurice was a student of Auburn High School.

Maurice leaves to cherish many loving memories; son, Terrell Wilkes and daughter, Brittany Davey; mother, Christine Wilson; 3 brothers, Maury Wilkes, Troy Wilkes, Marcellous Wilkes; 2 sisters, Sharon Wilkes and Sheattone Wilkes; grandson Cameron Davey, best friends Andre "Peanut" Quaterbaum and Aaron Moore, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Services will be held 2pm Saturday, November 20, 2021 at the Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home 200 N. Johnston Ave. Rockford, IL Visitation held 12 noon until the time of service.
