Michael Jerome Hanson, of Rockford departed this earthly life December 9, 2024. He was born January 26, 1969 in Rockford the son of Eddie and Frankie Williams. Michael attended Rockford public schools. Michael was a gentle giant, who was loved by many. You could find Michael being an unofficial Rockford ambassador, greeting every car and person going by on Auburn Street and downtown on W. State Street, he was a joy to be around and made everyone he encountered feel special.

Michael leaves to cherish many loving memories, his father, Eddie Williams; two daughters; three sisters, including Edna Hanson; two brothers, Edward Lamont (Leah) Williams and Tyrone (Stephanie) Owens; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his mother, Frankie Williams.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.
