Michael Duane Thomas of Rockford departed this earthly life April 1, 2022. He was born January 20, 1970, in Rockford the son of James and Lois Thomas. Michael was formerly employed as a welder by Gunite Foundry and by Estwing. He was a member of State Street Church of Christ. Michael attended Auburn High School.

Michael leaves to cherish many loving memories, five siblings, Lynn Thomas, Maria Thomas– Holeman, Martha Thomas, Rickey (Rhonda) King and Shelia King; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends including David Reed. He was predeceased by his parents, James Thomas and Lois King and stepfather, Ernest King.

Services will be held 12:00 noon Tuesday, April 12, 2022, at Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home Inc. 200 N. Johnston Ave. visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial in Cedar Bluff Cemetery. Anyone who would like to give a donation please send it in care of Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home Inc. name.
