Nakisha Shontay "Kisha" Woods Williams, of Rockford departed this earthly life April 26, 2023. She was born May 20, 1981 in Rockford the daughter of Marilyn Williams and Elvin Woods. Nakisha graduated from Mankato East High School in, Minnesota. Nakisha leaves to cherish many loving memories, daughter Flora Williams; four sons, Marshon'e Williams, DeAndre Woods Williams, Markele Williams and Deshawn Williams; parents, Marilyn and Elvin; sister, Chiquilla; 2 brothers, Brandon Williams and Richard Woods; maternal grandmother Flora Williams; fiancée Allen Govan; a host of aunts, uncles other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by brother, Marcus Williams; and paternal grandmother Ozie Woods.

Memorial services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 6, 2023 at Browns Temple Church of God In Christ 2608 W. State Street. Doors will be open from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Arrangements completed by Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home Inc. 200 N. Johnston Ave.
