Nicholas Devon Leigh, of Rockford departed this earthly life April 25, 2025. He was born October 9, 1995 in Rockford, IL the son of Delisia Eiland and Frederick Leigh Sr. Nicholas was owner and operator of  The Compound on 7th Street; consisting of  a Barber Shop, Nail Shop, Music and Pod Cast Studio, Shoe Store, T-shirt company and event space. Nicholas graduated from Guilford High School class of 2014 and attended Rock Valley College.

Nicholas leaves to cherish many loving memories, his son, Cavari Leigh and daughter, Cambryelle Leigh; father, Frederick Leigh Sr.; two sisters, Loren Gayden (Theo) Sanders and Jeanae Leigh; brother, Frederick Leigh Jr; maternal grandparents, Jesse and Rose Gray; life partner, Constance Ames; a nephew, Jayden Gayden and nieces, Namia and Nadia Wright-Gayden; a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, other relatives and friends including special cousin Ashley Eiland, special friend, Patrick Redmond Jr., and mother figure, Sarah Ames. He was predeceased by his mother, Delisia Eiland; paternal grandparents, Elga and Sally Ann Leigh.

Services will be held 1:00p.m. Monday, May 5, 2025 at Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home Inc. 200 N. Johnston Ave. Burial in Cedar Bluff Cemetery. Visitation will be held 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
