Mrs. Ora Lee Sanders (81), of Lansing Michigan departed this earthly life Sunday, December 15, 2024, at Aria Nursing Rehab Facility after battling cancer. Ora was born January 04, 1943, in Leland Mississippi and later relocated to Rockford Illinois. She was the daughter of Jim and Lillian Redd. Ora married her high school sweetheart Charles Ray Sanders at the age of 18 and was married for 49 years until his timely death. Ora attended Rockford public schools upon graduating. Ora was employed at numerous job, including Flint Board of Education, and worked at numerous AFC Homes. She then moved back to Rockford where she started working at Rockford Memorial Hospital and Ma and Pa Beasley's. She was a faithful member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church while in Flint, MI serving on the Usher Board. Also served on the Beautifying Group and member of the Pastors Aide at United Faith Missionary Baptist Church. Ora enjoyed playing spades, going to the casino, listening to music, and hanging with Sister-in-Law Maurine Fletcher and Cousin Merlene Love.

Ora Lee leaves to cherish beautiful memories 1 sister Doris Redd 3 sons: Darrell Redd, Roderick and Cedric Sanders. 4 daughters: Deborah, Denise, Stephanie Sanders and Sonya Burks. 3 Step kids: Erstein Sanders, Terry Porter, and Jan Neal. 21 grandchildren; a host of great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, special cousin Ruth Stigler. Brother-in-Law Warren (Pearl) Sanders, Sisters-in-Law Linda Henderson, Gladys and Costella Sanders. Ora is preceded in death by husband Charles Ray Sanders. Her Parents Jim and Lillian Redd, two brothers Jimmy Redd and Jessie Henderson and three sisters Liz Gray, Ethel Fisher and Dawn Redd.
