Pastor William Turner

Pastor William A. Turner, of Rockford departed this earthly life June 5, 2026. He was born December 22, 1952 in Detroit, MI the son of Walter Sr. and Ruth Turner. Pastor William lived in Rockford 23 years coming from Atlanta, Ga. He married the former Carla Mapp, February 28, 1997. Pastor William served as the Pastor of Victory Outreach, Rockford almost 23 years, overseeing Victory Homes for men and women, and served faithfully in the Rockford community including the Rockford jail ministry. He graduated from Northern High School in Detroit, later to attend Farris State College and graduated from Victory Outreach International School of Theology.

Pastor William Turner leaves to cherish many loving memories, his wife Carla ; brother, Raymond Turner; a host of nieces, nephews cousins other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents; son, Anthony Barnes; brother, Walter Turner and sister, Doretha Williams.

Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 20, 2026 at Central Christian Church 6595 Guilford Road. Visitation 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
