Patrick Robert McGee Sr. of Rockford departed this earthly life February 23, 2023. He was born August 4, 1965 in Rockford the son of Calvin and Clara McGee. Patrick married the former Aretha Bond, February 16, 2010 in Rockford. He was employed many years as a fork lift operator. He formerly attended Providence Baptist Church. Patrick attended West High School later to receive his G.E.D.

Patrick leaves to cherish many loving memories, his wife, Aretha of Louisville, Kentucky; two sons, Patrick R. McGee Jr. and Matthew ( Kayla) Schewe; six daughters, Torquoiscia McGee, Nykia McGee- Jackson, Nyquasia McGee-Jackson, Nahyria McGee Jackson, Nyosha McGee-Jackson and Navaeh McGee-Jackson; 10 grandchildren; sisters, Sally McGee and Petra Stanley; four brothers, Paris McGee, Lamont (Robbin) McGee, Maynard (Cheria) McGee and Reggie Stanley; Veronica Jackson, the mother of five of his daughters; a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, son, Lee Andrew McGee Sr.; brother, Henry Rodgers and favorite cousin Willie Bailey.

Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 13, 2023 at Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home Inc. 200 N. Johnston Ave. Visitation will be held 12:00a.m. until the time of service.
