Paul William Johnson, of Rockford, departed this earthly life November 22, 2024. He was born February 3, 1940 in Janesville, Wi the son of Rose McDaniel and Henry Johnson. Paul lived in Rockford many years coming from Chicago, IL. He married the former Mae Helen Berry,  November 28, 1996. Paul was a self employed owner operator of  Paul Johnson Janitorial and Floor Service. He was a member of Faith Center Church. He attended schools in Janesville.

Paul leaves to cherish many loving memories, his wife Helen Johnson; daughters, Crystal Johnson, Chyrie Prunty-Johnson and Aniyah Williams-Johnson; sons, Terrance Cooper-Johnson and Derrick Brown Jackson; a host of grandchildren and great and great great grandchildren; special family friends who he loved like his children, Tracy Brown and Scotty Lewis; four sisters, Minnie Johnson, Marion (Robert) Walker, Rose Gary, and Vicky Crecy; brother, Pierre Crecy; a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

He was predeceased by his parents; four sisters, Joanne Johnson, Sylvia Gary, Charlotte Crecy and Florence Johnson; three brothers, Felton Johnson, Francis Johnson and Steve Johnson, Walter Gary and George Gary

Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 7, 2024 at Faith Center Church 4721 S. Main Street. Visitation will be held 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Arrangements completed by Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home Inc.
