Robert Allen "Lil Bobby" Smith, of Rockford departed this earthly life November 25, 2022. He was born June 14, 1970 in Chicago, IL the son of Beatrice Jones and Willie Dumas. Robert lived in Rockford over 20 years coming from Chicago, IL. He married the former Malisa Meeks, May 16, 2008. He attended High School in Chicago. Robert always had a eye for fashion. He always wanted to make sure he was the best dressed when he showed up to any occasion, just to hear them say; how sharp he was dressed.

Robert leaves to cherish many loving memories, his loving wife Malisa Smith; son, Ailym Taylor; daughters, Kachinia Coleman and KeAsia Carter; step daughter, Cortaeja Brown; seven grandchildren, Alana, Ashaurri, Anyjah, Alasiaja, Anyssa, Montrese Jr., and Damerian; his parents, Beatrice Smith and Willie (Mary) Dumas; brothers, Nicholas Dumas and James (Sandra) Smith; sisters, Nicole and Natalie Dumas; special aunt, Lynda "Elder Mackie" Anderson; also his extended family who he loved like family; mother in law Elaine Meeks; sisters in law, Tisa, Adrienne, Veronica and brother in law, Marcus; a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his grandparents.

Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 9, 2022 at Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home Inc. 200 N. Johnston Ave. Burial in Cedar Bluff Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
