Robert James Huggard, of Denver Colorado, departed this earthly life January 13, 2022. He was born July 18, 1948 in Rockford the son of James and Willa Mae Huggard. Robert lived in Denver 43 years after leaving Rockford. He married the former Joyce Reeves, September 18, 1982 in Denver. Robert was employed 33 years as a Supervisor in production control for Sundstrand Aerospace 6 years while in Rockford and later transferring to Sundstrand Aerospace in Denver where he was employed 27 years before retiring. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in the National Guard. Robert was a member of True Light Baptist Church serving a member of the Men's Fellowship. Robert was a member of a Trap Shooting Team through Sundstrand. He graduated from West High School class of 1967, later to attend Rock Valley College.

Robert leaves to cherish many loving memories, his devoted wife of 39 years, Joyce; son, Robert Isaiah Huggard; and daughter, Renee (Timothy) Moreland; grandchildren; sister, Rhonda Threat; three brothers, Raymond (Victoria) Huggard, Russell (Edwina) Huggard and Roger (Lynette) Huggard; a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by parents.

Service will be held 11:00 Friday, January 28, 2022 at Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home Inc. 200 N. Johnston Ave. Burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
