Robert Euguene Jenkins of Machesney Park, departed this earthly life August 25, 2025. He was born April 12, 1944 in Cape Girardeau, MO the son of Fred Jenkins Sr. and Lucille Lee being raised by his step-father Anthony Roebuck Sr. Robert lived in Machesney Park one year, coming from Kennett, MO. He married Jeanie Ball, February 20, 2024. Robert was employed by Daimler Chrysler Mitsubishi 17 years before retiring. He was a veteran of the US Air Force, serving 5 years and US Marines, serving in the reserves. Robert was a member of West Side Church of Christ, being baptized in 1993 at Kishwaukee Church of Christ. He was a member of the Jefferson Horton American Legion  post 340. He graduated from Boylan Central Catholic High School.

Robert leaves to cherish many loving memories, his wife Jeanie Jenkins; daughters, Avis Ann Jenkins, Artina L. (Mark) Jenkins and VaNatta Ford; fifteen grandchildren and twenty-five great, grandchildren; two brothers, Fred Jenkins Jr; and Anthony (Shannon) Roebuck Jr;  sisters Avis , Mary Jenkins and Ann Jenkins;  a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and special friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Lucille (Anthony Sr.) Roebuck and Fred Jenkins Sr.

Memorial services will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday September 13, 2025 at West Side Church of Christ 1523 Morgan Street. Family will greet friends from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.
