Rodney W. K. Nicholls., of Rockford departed this earthly life April 28, 2023. He was born February 14, 1967 in Rockford the son of Rodney and June Nicholls. Rodney married the former Stephanie Shoulders September 8, 2019. He was employed as a Maintenance Engineer by Rockford Airport over 10years before becoming ill. Rodney was a member former member of Emmanuel Temple, Deliverance Crusade and Living Faith Tabernacle, currently a member of A Ministry of Restoration Church. He was a member of Epilepsy Foundation; and local bowling teams. He graduated from Jefferson High School, class of 1986.

Rodney leaves to cherish many loving memories, his wife, Stephanie Renea Nicholls; father Rodney Nicholls Sr; four sisters, Rodlynne (Stacy) Nevitt; June Nicholls, RuthAnn Nicholls and Janice Nicholls; brothers Howard Nicholls; god children, three step children, Monica Bloomington, Kandy Shoulders and Marloes Shoulders; 14 grandchildren including special grand daughter, Reana Shoulders.

He was predeceased by his mother June Nicholls.

Memorial services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 5, 2023 at Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home Inc. Doors will be open from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
