Roger Floyd Hawkins, of Rockford went to be with our Lord and Savior while in Hospice care, Monday, June 26, 2023. He was born August 4, 1949 in Rockford IL the son of James T. (Stella) Hawkins Sr; Roger was a veteran of the US Army serving in the reserves. Roger was a very outgoing, intelligent and artistic person.  He graduated from Rockford West High School class of 1967 and attended Rock Valley College.

Roger leaves to cherish many loving memories, his brother, James Thomas Hawkins Jr., sister in law Sara Hawkins; nephews and nieces, Kimberly Hawkins Simms, James Thomas (Theresa) Hawkins III, Jennifer Hawkins, Heather (Henry III) Lee, Brian T. Hawkins, Matthew Hawkins and Joshua Hawkins; aunt, Martha Bankston; uncle, John (Emma) Foots; a host of other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, James and Stella; and brother Eugene Hawkins.
