Ronald K. "Ronnie" Shelby  of Rockford departed this earthly life August 28, 2025. He was born January 4, 1946 in Rockford, IL the son of Claybrone and Florence Shelby.  He married the former Anacleta Rogel, December 18, 1982. Ronald was employed as a manager by UTC Aerospace 36 years before retiring. He was a member of Allen Chapel A.M.E. Church. Ronald was a founding member of RAMM Association. He graduated from East High School and attended Rock Valley College.

Ronald leaves to cherish many loving memories, his wife of 42 years, Anacleta; two daughters, Courtney (Andy Whelan) Baryshnikova and Kelly (John) Shelby-Wilkerson; sons, Sean (Shanna) Shelby and Randy Newton; 8 grandchildren; sister, Roberta (Donald ) Toomer; a host of nieces, nephews cousins other relatives and friends.  He was predeceased by his parents; three brothers, Dr. Harold Shelby, Dr. Claybrone Shelby and Dr. Elliott Treadwell.

Services will be held 12:00 p.m. Saturday, September 13, 2025at Allen Chapel A.M.E. Church  3000 Rural Street. Burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held 10:00 a.m. until the time of service
