Ronnie C. Brown of Rockford departed this earthly life July 26 2024. He was born September 4 1946 in Durant, MS the son of Peter and Flora Brown. Ronnie lived in Rockford since the 70's coming from Midland, PA. He married the former Adelle Moore August 5,      ; she preceded him in death. Ronnie was employed as a machine operator for many years by National Lock, and self employed as a Skilled Shoe Shine Man stationed at Napleton Auto Works until 2021. He attended Light House Temple Pentecostal Church and was a former member of South Side Church of God. He graduated from Midland High School, later to attend Point Park College in Pennsylvania and Midwestern College in Iowa.

Ronnie leaves to cherish many loving memories, his son, Ronald Brown; and step daughter, Tonya Martin; a host of cousins other relatives and friends.

Services will be held 12:00 noon Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home Inc. 200 N. Johnston Ave. Visitation will be held 10:00 am until the time of service.
