Rosa Lee Harris of Rockford departed this earthly life October 7, 2023. She was born April 4, 1936 in Chicago, IL the daughter William and Cardia Jones. Rosa lived in Rockford over 20 years coming from Gary Indiana. She married Willie James Harris, he preceded her in death. Rosa was a member of Progressive Missionary Baptist Church serving as a mother.  She attended schools in Chicago, IL and Gary, IN.

Rosa Lee leaves to cherish many loving memories,  two sons, Craig (Jaqueline) Harris and Ronald (Michelle) Jones; two daughters, Sharon Harris and Angela Tate; 16 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; sister, Clara M. Jones; a host of other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her daughters Kim Tolbert, Andrea and Catherine Harris; parents; three brothers and three sisters.

Memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 14, 2023 at Progressive Missionary Baptist Church 109 Lincoln Park Blvd. Arrangements were completed by Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home Inc.
