Rosemond "Doll" Anderson of Rockford departed this earthly life May 2, 2023. She was born October 18, 1929 in West, Mississippi the daughter of Willie and Pearlie Mae Ellis. Rosemond lived in Rockford since 1984 coming from Chicago, IL . She married Joseph Ball in 1947, later to marry Willie Anderson in 1986, he preceded her in death. She was employed doing domestic work. Rosemond was a member of Full Gospel Deliverance Temple.

Rosemond leaves to cherish many loving memories, daughter, Bobbie Ball; four grandchildren, Rosalind, Janaya, Joseph Jr., and Shawn; 10 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; three sisters, Bonnie ( Billy ) Bell, Willie Pearl Camphor and Vergie ( Edward II ) Bardwell; a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

She was predeceased by her parents, son, Joseph Ball; two sisters, Nellie Jean Mathis and Vernell Sledge; two brothers, Claude and Ross Ellis.

Memorial services will be held 4:00 p.m. Thursday, May 11, 2023 at Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home Inc. 200 N. Johnston Ave. Doors will be open from 3:00 p.m. until the time of service.
