Rosie Lee " Momma Dean " Dean, of Rockford departed this earthly life October 16, 2023. She was born November 8, 1927 in Byhalia, MS the daughter of Mordina and Joseph Tennial. Rosie lived in Rockford 72 years coming from Byhalia. She was a self employed child care provider from 1990 to 2020. Rosie was a member of Westside Church of Christ. She attended schools in Mississippi.

Rosie leaves to cherish many loving memories, four sons, Earl Dean, Larry Dean, Michael (Nikiya) Dean and Anthony (Annetta) Dean; two daughters, Luella Tolefree and Angela May; 21 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; and sister Littie Mae Tolefree; a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends; including sister in law, Christine King. She was predeceased by her parents; grandson, Kerwin Edward May; three brothers, Amos Tennial, T.C. Tennial and O'neal Tennial.

Services will be held 2:00 p.m.  Saturday, October 28, 2023 at Westside Church of Christ 1523 Morgan St. Visitation will be held 12:00 p.m. until the time of service.
