Roy Edward "Mystro" Parham, of Rockford departed this earthly life February 10, 2024. He was born December 8, 1960 in Holly Springs, Arkansas the son of Margaret Parham and Rafus Mahan. Roy lived in Illinois 49 years coming from Arkansas living the last 11 years in Capron, IL after leaving Rockford. He was employed 15 years by Capron Manufacturing before retiring 2021. He attended Sparkman Training School, later to receive his GED.

Roy leaves to cherish many loving memories; his brother, Wendell (Reba Owens) Parham; sister, Amy Parham; nieces, Quintasha "Shay" Parham, E'Lexus Quinby, Dorie Black and Olivia Parham; nephews, John Parham, Christopher Parham and Bradley Parham; great nephews, Dreyln Black, Darius Black, Greyson Parham, Zayden Parham ,Bradley Parham Jr and Keydan Mann; uncles, EJ (Luvenia) Parham, Calvin (Shirley) Parham, Robert (Tammy) DuBoise; aunts, Angel (Gregory) Farris and Shirley DuBoise; special friends, Ann Spivey; and honorary children, Allie and Lexi, Spivey; a host of other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents; and maternal grandmother, Lucille DuBoise and honorary son, Glenn Spivey.

Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 23, 2024 at Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home Inc. 200  N. Johnston Ave. Burial in Cedar Buff Cemetery. Visitation will be held 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
