Roy Dean Ross of Rockford departed this earthly life October 17, 2021. He was born April 19, 1952 in Hermitage Arkansas the son of George W. and Lillie Bell Ross.  Roy lived in Rockford many years coming from Arkansas. He was employed 18 years by Swedish American Hospital as a custodian before retiring.  Roy attended school in Hermitage, Arkansas.

Roy leaves to cherish many loving memories, his sister, Emma Jean Ross; nephews, Vincent (Janifin) Hardaway and Jermaine Ross; nieces, Laura Hardaway and special niece, Janice Hardaway -Purifoy; a host of great nieces and great nephews and a great great nephew, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents.

Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 21, 2021 at Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home Inc. 200 N. Johnston Ave. Burial in Cedar Bluff Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
