Russell "Russ D." Jefferson, of Rockford departed this earthly life October6 , 2019. He was born October 17, 1988 in Rockford the son of Reatha Patterson and Robert Jefferson. Russell attended Rockford Public High Schools.
Russell leaves to cherish many loving memories, five sons, Quinton, n, Royal, Ashton, Ramier and Russell Jefferson Jr; parents, Reatha Patterson and Robert (Valerie) Jefferson; three sisters, Dominique and Unique Patterson and Aquila Gulley; six brothers, Retavian, Rashaun, Rico, and Robert Jefferson and Tyler Bills and Travond Christopher; paternal grandfather, Arthur Jefferson and maternal grandparents, Eddie M. Brown and Gale Patterson Sr.; a host of aunts, uncles other relatives and friends including special aunt, Sandy Purifoy and special uncle Patrick Patterson; special friends Marilyn Jenkins and William Peyton and special cousin Arteria Patterson.
Services will be held 12:00 noon Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at Allen Chapel A.M.E. Church 3000 Rural St. Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
