Ruth Raquel Carrillo, of Rockford departed this earthly life October 23, 2026. She was born December 20, 1973 in Chicago, IL the daughter of Pedro and Juanita Carrillo. Ruth lived in Rockford ten years, coming from Chicago, IL. She married Kenneth Tate. Ruth was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness, worshiping at the East Location. She graduated from Wells High School in Chicago, later to receive her bachelor’s degree from Robert Morris University.

Ruth leaves to cherish many memories, her husband, Kenneth Tate; five sons, Devin, Donavae, and Wesley Terry; Eugene Steele and Martiese Hudson; two daughters, Cynthia Torres and Larae Terry; 14 grandchildren; mother, Juanita Carrillo; brother, Victor (Seselie) Carrillo and sister, Ruth Rebecca Carrillo; a host of other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her father, Pedro Carrillo and her brother, Predo Carrillo. Jr.

Memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 9, 2026 at Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home Inc. 200 N. Johnston Ave. doors open from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service.
