Ruth "Baby Ruth" Partee, of Rockford departed this earthly life September 24, 2023. She was born May 10, 1932 in Gould, Arkansas the daughter of  Harvey and Mary Spivey. Ruth lived in Rockford 13 years coming from Chicago. She married Willie Partee, he preceded her in death.  Ruth was employed as a home heath aid over 20 years before retiring. She was a member of Deliverance Crusader, serving as a Mother of the church. She also served as a Evangelist, while in Chicago. She attended Washing School in Arkansas.

Ruth leaves to cherish many loving memories, two grandsons, Herman (Angela) Simmons and Samuel (Antoinette) Simmons; two granddaughters, Yolanda (Keith) Turner Ramey and Monique (Johnathan) Savage-Russell; 13 great grandchildren; 13 great great grandchildren; sister, Jessie Bee Corbin; a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, husband Willie; son, Herman Taylor; sisters, Rosie Ella Smith, Flora Jean Robinson, Willia B. Spivey and Evelyn Bass; brothers, James Spivey, Mack Alexander, and Rev. Harvey Spivey, Jr.

Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 6, 2023 at Deliverance Crusader 2101 Auburn Street. Burial in Cedar Bluff Cemetery. Visitation  will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Arrangements completed by Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home Inc. 200 N. Johnston Ave.
