Sandra Eileen "Sister"  Murray of Rockford departed this earthly life May 29, 2023. She was born November 2, 1961 in Rockford the daughter of Sally Ann Bell being raised by Elga "Jack" Leigh who was in her life from the age of 2 years old. Sandra was employed as a sorter by Amerock before their closing and parttime at Shree's Daycare. Sandra was a member of All Nations Worship Center, serving with the Culinary Ministry.  She attended West High School and later received her G.E.D.

Sandra leaves to cherish many loving memories, four brothers, Elgia "Yogi" (Shree) Leigh, Eric Leigh,  Fred Leigh and Alvyn (Elyse) Leigh; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends including, special niece, Loren Gayden; special friend Cynthia Spates and god sister Sandra Reynolds and special cousin Gwen Jones. She was predeceased by her mother Sally Ann Leigh; step father, Elga "Jack" Leigh; and brother, Steve Bell.

Services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 3, 2023 at Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home Inc. 200 N. Johnston Ave. Burial in Cedar Bluff Cemetery. Visitation will be held 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
