Shakur Rahim Jones, 26, of Tempe, AZ departed this earthly life June 14, 2023. He was born January 17, 1997 in Rockford, IL the son of LaVonna Jones and Julian Holt. Shakur had lived in Tempe, AZ 8 years, after leaving Rockford. He was a self employed  photographer, videographer, graphic designer, and owner of Cre'me Photography. Shakur gave his life to Christ at the age of 8 and was a member of Hope Fellowship Church of Rockford. He was over the Hope Media Ministry from 2013 - 2015. He graduated from Guilford High School class of 2015, later to attend Mesa College.

Shakur loved all sports and would consider himself an expert on the history and game of basketball. He played AAU basketball with the Rockford Ambassadors from age 10 till 18. He had a passion for real estate and was pursuing to obtain his license. His true love was portrait photography and he educated himself on the craft to transform a photograph into a timeless piece of art. He was a well known photographer in Arizona and lovingly known as "Cre'me".

Shakur was raised by a village and he took the love and lessons he was given and spread it to everyone he met or encountered. He will live in many hearts and the Life of "Cre'me" will live on forever.

Shakur leaves to cherish many loving memories, his mother LaVonna Jones and father Julian Holt; three brothers, Jalen, Ja'mon and Treston Holt; four sisters, including special sister, Coryzma Bell, Amber Kirk, Fahtima James and Darion Forrest-Holt; paternal grandmother, Brenda Holt; three uncles, Gerald (LaTisha) Jones (God Parents), Julmar (Chanel) Holt, and Eric Chapman; two aunts, Angela Hardy and Lateah Jones; five nephews, Darelle James, Donte Wheeler, Jr, Jay'Ceon Holt, Ja'sahn Holt, King White, and Daylen Phillips; 5 nieces, Symaria Phillips, Armoni Brooks, Maleah Abercombie, Jalaya Holt, and Ja'mora Holt; girlfriend, Carlee Sparks; god parents, Rod and Tracey Curry and Ronald Alexander; god sisters, Sachelle Reed, Shatorya Jones, Alexandria and Olivia Curry and Akkowa Alexander; god brother, Gerrot Jones; Spiritual Mentors, Gwen and Jeffrey Ballard; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Norma J. Jones-Chapman and Billy C. Jones; paternal grandfather, Julius Holt; great grandmothers, Sarah Woodard, Mary Lou Jones-Allen, Barbara Clark, and Helen Holt; great grandfathers, Albert Woodard, Ira Jones, Sr., William Clark, and Robert L. Holt; aunts, Lorene Brewer, Ellen Woodard, and Elder Junita Williams; uncles, Henry and Willie Woodard; god brother, Terrance Bowden .

Services will be 12:00 noon Saturday, June 24, 2023 at Hope Fellowship 1135 E. State Street. Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Arrangements completed by Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home Inc. 200 N. Johnston Ave.
