Sharita Je'Thime Maxey of Rockford  departed this earthly life August 25, 2021. She was born August 10, 1979 in Rockford the daughter of Ella Maxey and  George Burgess.  Sharita was employed as a Para Professional by the Rockford Board of Education and self employed in child care for 7 years. She was a member of Word Worship Center.. Sharita graduated from Auburn High School class of  1997.

Sharita leaves to cherish many loving memories, son, DeAngelo Frazier Maxey; parents, Ella Maxey and George Burgess; sister, Kimberly Maxey; brothers, Antwan Maxey;  paternal grandmother, Edna; fiancée, Quincy Frazier; special friend, Richard Pearson; a host of other relatives and friends including special nephews, Deterrius Bell and D'Airious Maxey.

Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, September  7, 2021 at Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home Inc. 200 N. Johnston Ave. Burial in Cedar Bluff Cemetery. Visitation will be held 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
