Shenika Lakia Motton, of Rockford, departed this earthly life January 2, 2025. She was born May 24, 1985 in Milwaukee, WI the daughter Alicia Price and Kenneth Carter. Shenika lived in Rockford over 20 years coming from Milwaukee. She married Marcellus Motton, February 20, 2013. Shenika was employed as a lab technician by T.H. Foods two years.  She was a passionate member of Remedies Renewing Lives.  Shenika attended Guilford High School, later to receive her G.E.D. and attended Rock Valley College where she received her certification.

Shenika leaves to cherish many loving memories, her husband, Marcellus; three daughters, Markila Motton, Marcella Motton and Niara Lindendecker; and son, Kenneth Price; sisters, Judith Price, Latia Pointer and Jennell Hill; and brother, Robert Hill; two nieces, Kendronna Price and Zyla Thompson; and three nephews, William Johnson, Zyan Thompson, and Xavier McAllister; a host of other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Kenneth Carter and Alicia Bell; daughter, Marcella Motton and brother Kenneth Price.

Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday,  January 17, 2025 at Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home Inc. 200 N. Johnston Ave. Burial in Cedar Bluff Cemetery. Visitation 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
