Sherman "Tret" Biffle of Rockford departed this earthly life July 19, 2022. He was born November 7, 1932 in Livingston, Alabama the son of William and Beulah Biffle. Sherman lived in Rockford since 1966 coming from Delaware. He married the former Susie Moore,  June 16, 1973. Sherman was employed as an assembler by Chrysler Corporation 35 years before retiring.  He was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church serving as a Usher and Trustee. Sherman was a member of Welcome Star Lodge#36 PHA, F&AM. He attended Pine Grove School.

Sherman leaves to cherish many loving memories, his wife, Susie; two daughters, Sherdine Biffle and Mattice Holden; five sons, Sherman (Ann) Biffle, Kennedy Biffle, Reggie Biffle, Johnny (Barbara) Biffle, and Joseph (Sue) Danforth; 24 grandchildren; a host of great and Great great grandchildren; sister, Beulah Cornell; a host of other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, daughter, Linda Jones; two sisters; and six brothers.

Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 30, 2022 at Macedonia Baptist Church 1720 Morgan Street. Burial in Willwood Burial Park. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Arrangements completed by Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home Inc 200 N. Johnston Ave.
