Sherry Louise Loveless, of Rockford departed this earthly life January 21, 2022. She was born March 16, 1953 in St. Louis, MO the daughter of John Henry and Margaret Gillespie. Sherry lived in Rockford 45 years coming from E. St. Louis, IL. She was employed as a caregiver many years, last being employed by Walter Larson Children's Home. Sherry was a Jehovah's Witness worshiping at the North Kingdom Hall.  Sherry attended schools in E. St. Louis, later receiving her G.E.D. from Rock Valley College and attended Rockford Career College.

Sherry leaves to cherish many loving memories, her three daughters, Johnnetta Richardson, Tundra Loveless and Laronda (Jerry) Gulley; seven grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; sister, Loletha Mack; a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends including special nieces, Jacqueline Lofton and Karen Moore; and special nephews Byron  and Michael Gillespie. She was predeceased by her daughter, Lashaun Loveless; parents; sister, Marilyn Gillespie; and brother Johnny Gillespie.

Service will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 4, 2022 at Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home Inc. 200 N. Johnston Ave. Visitation from 12:00 noon until the time of service.
