Shonda Lydell Smith of Rockford departed this earthly life November 15, 2023. She was born June 4, 1969 in Brownsville, TN the daughter of Pearlie Mae Smith and William Robinson. Shonda lived in Rockford since she was 7 years old coming from Brownsville, TN. She was employed as a Home Health Aid 23 years for DORS. Shonda graduated from Auburn High School class of 1987.

Shonda leaves to cherish many loving memories, her son, Repoleon  Smith; two daughters, Rakeshia Smith and Pearline Smith; 8 grandchildren; brother, Wayne Smith; and sister Clara Smith; a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her sisters

Memorial services will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home 200 N. Johnston Ave. Doors will be open from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service.
